As any "boat nerd" will tell you, the Soo Locks and Saint Mary's River are some of the best places on the Great Lakes to watch Freighter traffic. We were fortunate to attend the Maritime Days last year in Sault Ste. Marie, and had a great time. We also had an added treat of seeing a few freighters go thru the locks. Here are some photos of the Soo Locks.
